About ForTec Companies

Founded in 1988, ForTec Companies was created on the belief that hospitals, surgical centers, medical offices and patients would benefit from mobilization technology and highly trained technicians on an as-needed basis.

ForTec Companies got its start in servicing the laser needs of the ophthalmic community. Today, ForTec Companies is one of the nation’s largest mobilization companies, with more than 400 systems, 200 technicians and 150 fleet vehicles. We have the broadest geographical coverage of any mobilization company with offices across the country.

Bios

Drew C. Forhan founded ForTec Companies, formerly ForTec Medical Inc., in 1988. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and has worked in various medical industries prior to founding ForTec. Currently, ForTec employs a staff of more than 200—serving more than 35 states. Drew is a member of several boards and is very involved in local charities and philanthropic organizations. Drew and his wife Nancy have four children and live in Hudson, Ohio.

John Voyzey is the chief operations officer and president of ForTec Companies. His role is to run the day-to-day operations of ForTec. John resides in Shaker Heights with his wife and family.

 

 

 

JoAnn Vosburgh is the controller at ForTec Companies. She manages administrative functions for ForTec, including finance, human resources, and IT. JoAnn has been part of the ForTec team since 1997.

  

 

 

Joe Machesky is the director of operations at ForTec. He leads operations across ForTec’s 17 offices in the U.S. Joe also directs logistics for more than 150 technicians. He is responsible for acquiring and mobilizing the fleet of lasers and other medical equipment. Joe has been with ForTec since 1992.

 

 

Patrick Filipovitz is the director of sales at ForTec. He manages national sales efforts (inside sales and outside sales) across more than 35 states. Patrick started with ForTec in 2002.

 

 

 

Mike Stickler
is the managing director of ForTec Litho. He leads our effort to support physicians’ lithotripsy procedures. Mike started with ForTec in 2000.

 

 

 

 Paul Olzak is responsible for delivering field service expertise to ForTec lasers and to a national hospital and surgery center customer base. He is also responsible for developing ForTec’s overall business strategy, and identifying and executing new product development and merger and acquisitions for service in support of strategic growth initiatives.

 

 

Frank Kehn is the managing director of ForTec Fibers. Frank manages ForTec’s consumable product sales, including fibers and laser safety goggles. He started with ForTec in 1999.
